      LEGISLATIVE ALERT!!!
      No doubt the NRA & NSSF have good intentions but their unfortunate support of H.R. 4900 may do more harm than good.  H.R. 4900 reposes great faith and confidence in the ability of the BATF & E and the Attorney General to take the high road and equably exercise even more power over gun dealers and the 2nd Amendment than they have right now; even though professional detachment has never been a hallmark of either while abuse of authority on 2nd Amendment issues is often the norm.

      In times gone by you had to do good with a little power before you were given a lot of power.  How many times have you heard the NRA complain about "jack booted thugs" in the ATF?  And now the NRA and NSSF are supporting H.R. 4900 to give those same people even more weapons to use on gun dealers! Go Figure.

      Given that BATF & E and many of the Attorney Generals of late have demonstrated a loathing and callous disregard for the 2nd Amendment, I believe that the NRA and NSSF are likely to be disappointed in the results. 

      While being disappointed is not high on anybody's list of things to look forward to, it is the dealers who will have have to pay the bill for this misplaced confidence.  Go to our legislative page to see why we think so.
